So Big!!

So I know that it has been awhile since I have posted. Not much to report until recently. This may come to a shock to some of you but we just found out that Dru has a milk allergy. Gasp!! We switched him to soy formula and so far things are better. Dru is also taking a couple of steps. He gets too excited though and then he falls!! Dru got tooth #8 last week. So busy!

Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend. The outfit was my grandpa Merck's. Dru's legs were too chunky to get it fully buttoned.

Post Appt

Dru had his post op appointment today. His hearing is perfect now!! His ears look great also! He didn't even cry when the dr looked in them. That is a first.

I took a cute picture of him tonight sleeping on the couch. Yes, I was right there. What kind of parent do you think I am?

Tubes

Dru's surgery went great!! The nurse took him back at 7:25. By 7:40 the dr came out. Dru didn't do good in recovery so they brought him to me early. We were able to leave by 8:15. Everything went so smooth. He is a different kid already. He is sleeping through the night again! His balance is also better and he doesn't seem as fussy! Clint is taking him back to the dr on Tuesday. I'm out of sick days so it's up to Clint.
Speaking of my job, I have resigned and as of right now I don't have one for next year. If anyone hears of anything for k-6 gen or sped let me know. Things happen for a reason so I'm hoping that I'll have a job for next year.

April 23rd

On April 23rd Dru is having ear tubes put in. He has been on 9 different meds since Oct. He has had 6 ear infections. The ENT checked his hearing on Thursday and he has losted some on the left side due to fluid. Once he gets the tubes the hearing will be restored fully. Keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers on Wed.
On a happy note, Saturday Dru stood by himself for the first time. Look for the video to come later. He is getting so big. He has also decided that eating baby food is fun! In the words of his babysitter "He is a bottomless pit this week!!" If you don't feed him fast enough he cries. I wonder where he gets that from.

Strep Throat

Dru got really sick over the weekend. He started running a temp of 101 around 8 until 3am. We got really nervous because he has never had a temp. I took him to the dr on Saturday and wham he had strep. They gave him a shot in each leg. So much fun. He seems to be getting better. If it's not one thing it's another.
We can't wait for summer!
